Bio

Education
I graduated from Charles Henderson High School in 1996 and decided to further my education at H.C. Council Trenholm Technical College in Montgomery, AL.  After pursing my dreams to become a professional Cosmetologist; I decided to continue my educational journey at Troy University where I received my B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Elementary Education.  Throughout my life, I have been and will continue to be a life-long learner as an exemplar for my students to excel in school.

Experience
First and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for entrusting me to be apart of your child's life at Banks Middle School. This upcoming year will be my eighth teaching fifth grade.   It is very rewarding to know I have the ability to touch the minds and hearts of our future; therefore, I will continue to strive for the betterment of each of my students.  My experiences have enabled me as a teacher to prepare my students to set forth goals and never give out until they have been achieved.

Bio
"Entering into the wonderful world of education was my dream, my passion, and now my life"  Welcome...my name is Sontessia Youngblood-Henderson, and I'm "EXTREMELY EXCITED" about my eleventh year of teaching fifth grade.  I have three adorable daughters; Bre'Jhada, Jabria, and Chasity.  As I begin my eleventh year as a teacher, I will continue to do my best to ensure that each student retrieves the quality education that is expected for them to reach their highest achievements.  My goal is to educate, motivate, and inspire each child.

"If you touch a rock, you've touch the past.

If you touch a child, you will touch our future."
