My name is Sarah Gambles. I currently teach 4th grade at Banks School. This is my 11th year at Banks. I taught 5th grade for 5 years, for 2 years I served as Academic Coach, followed by 3 wonderful years teaching 2nd graders. This is my 2nd year teaching 4th grade Math, Science, and Art. My passion is teaching children to be excited about learning in a warm, compassionate, and creative environment.

I am originally from Kailua, Hawaii and lived there until the age of 14.  I then moved to Troy, Alabama and attended Charles Henderson High School.  Afterwards, I attended Troy University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Theater.  I spent 3 years in Los Angeles working for NBC and John Wells Productions at Warner Bros Studios.  I later received my Masters Degree in Education and found my home with the Banks School family.

My family is the most important part of my life, but I also enjoy going to church, writing, documentary film making, cooking, spending time with friends, and traveling.  A few of my hobbies include fishing, playing tennis, riding horses, and quilting.
